Victory! The Story of the Accounting Students in Winning a 2nd Place Trophy at a National Competition

Three students from the Faculty of Economics and Business contributed award through their victory in achieving 2nd place in the scientific writing competition. The competition was held by the Chemical Engineering Student Association of the University of Riau which held the theme of "Increasing Research and Technology Innovation in Achieving SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) in the Era of Society 5.0". Reported from the unri.ac.id news page, this national competition aims to to improve students' critical thinking skills in initiating change and improvement by increasing innovation and research in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as well as providing a forum for expressing innovation and developing ideas in the form of scientific papers.

The event, and the subsequent victory, proves that the student team from Accounting Department, which consist of Muhammad Ilham Jalaluddin, Gibran Hadri, and Murtanti, was able to put on a stiff level of competitive prowess in the national intellectual arena. This victory is an empirical example of the effectiveness of FEB UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta in implementing its Higher Education Tridharma. These students can and should be regarded as a role model for other students in increasing student productivity and activeness in progressive innovating.
